Gro Spieler is a qualified kindergarten teacher with further education in music. She has a graduation as an instructor in Lu Jong and mindfulness, and are trained and certified by the Tibetan Buddhist master Tulku Lobsang. Gro Spieler has a versatile work experience from kindergarten, child welfare, the restaurant business, culture and literature communication. She has expertise and broad experience working with people with different cultural backgrounds, multidisciplinary network in various forums, as well as the initiation of various public and private projects. Gro Spieler is a speaker in various forums where communication and methods of approaching children and parents are themed. Gro has over 30 years of experience with the integration of refugees. She was the first to receive minor refugees in Norway 30 years ago. In 2016, under the auspices of the UDI, the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, Gro Spieler directs and conducts an activity program for children and youth with a focus on integration, yoga, play and increased knowledge of the Norwegian language in 30 refugee centers throughout Norway.

A primary goal of the project is to contribute to a peaceful world where play and interaction provides both small and large good experiences and moments. There are more than 1,500 children this year who will learn meditation, mindfulness and yoga through Gros project called "A GOOD PLACE TO BE - An empathy- and behavioural project for children and adults". Gro Spieler is also responsible for Fredsrommet.no that aims to film and photograph 1 million people on the globe who want peace. We collect words that could lead to world peace.

Gro Spieler er utdannet førskolelærer med videreutdanning i musikk. Hun har eksamen som instruktør i Lu Jong og Mindfulness, er utdannet og sertifisert av den tibetanske buddhist-mesteren Tulku Lobsang.

Gro Spieler har en allsidig arbeidserfaring fra barnehage, barnevern, restaurantbransjen, kultur og litteraturformidling. Hun har kompetanse og bred erfaring med arbeid med mennesker med ulik kulturbakgrunn, tverrfaglig nettverksarbeid i ulike fora, samt igangsetting av ulike kommunale og private prosjekter. Gro Spieler er foredragsholder i ulike fora, hvor kommunikasjons og tilnærmingsmetoder til barn og foreldre er tema.

Gro har over 30 års erfaring med integreringsarbeid med flyktninger. Hun tok i mot de første umyndige flyktningene i Norge for 30 år siden. I regi av UDI, The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration leder og gjennomfører Gro Spieler i 2016 et aktivitetsprosjekt for barn og ungdom med fokus på integrering, yoga, , lek og økte norskkunnskaper på 30 flyktningemottak i hele Norge.
